- American Family Care / corner of Patton Chapel Rd & HWY 31Posted on: 2009-10-07This posting is difficult for me to write. I usually do not ask people to boycott a local business. But the actions of a doc at American Family Care at the corner of Patton Chapel RD and HWY 31 has me concerned for anyone with a minor emergency in our neighborhood. Our daughter fell tonite and it appeared that her lip was stuck between her front teeth. The nurse at AFC was very compassionate and checked our daughter out. After seeing what we saw, she became concerned and asked her Doc to look. He walked past us as he said he had 50 things to do and did not do curbside. Us coming to his office, with insurance and willing to pay is NOT curbside. We chose to visit his facility because he was at the end of our street. But, you can be sure that none of our family or friends in this community will visit there ever again.

I love the new Green Valley neighborhood newsletter. It's so great that we have this. Is there anyway you can post something as a headline on the newsletter asking for babysitters in the area? It would be great if there could be a resource listing especially with summer coming up. I have 2 girls ages 2 & 6 and 1 attends GVE and the other attends a mother's day out program while school is in session, but with summer approaching it would be great to know if there are any teenagers in the neighborhood looking to babysit. Several of us moms in the neighborhood would love to have a contact list.
